Year 3

Hello and welcome to our Year 3 class page.

Year 3

Class Teacher- Miss Morgan

 Teaching Assistant- Mrs Leadbetter

Below you will find some information to begin the new school year.

Payments to school – As you are all aware school lunches  need to be paid for via the school payment system.  Please make sure your account is topped up in order for your child to have a school lunch. If you wish your child to have a snack, please send in one piece of fruit for break time. Payment for trips will also be made via this system.  It is a requirement that accounts must be in credit before your child can order a lunch.

Uniform – Please ensure that all items of uniform have names clearly marked, including coats/jackets/school fleece.

Reading books/Reading Records/Homework Diaries – Please send these to school daily.

Information on reading and other homework can be found on the homework tab.

PE Kits  – All children are expected to have their blue shorts and t-shirts, plus pumps and trainers for PE (with child’s name on everything).  A navy outdoor PE kit is also required consisting of navy tracksuit bottoms and sweatshirt top.

PE will take place on a Tuesday and a Thursday.

Mathletics  – As part of your child’s Maths curriculum they will have one lesson a week on Mathletics in the ICT suite. Mathletics is a programme which allows the teacher to set specific activities to children based on their learning and ability. Each child has their own login and on completing activities earns points and credits which they can use to purchase rewards for their character etc. I will provide children with a  copy of their mathletics login details in the front of their homework diaries so that they can login and explore the site at home. Children generally thoroughly enjoy this site and it is therefore a really useful way to learn and practise mathematical skills.

Many thanks

Miss Morgan
