Jack Traynor Miracle - Pilgrimage to Lourdes
The Story of John 'Jack' Traynor
Archbishop Malcolm McMahon has officially declared that what happened to John (Jack) Traynor is a miracle!
In 1923, Jack went on a special trip to Lourdes, a holy place, with others from his church. At the time, he was very sick. He couldn’t walk, his right arm didn’t work, and he had epilepsy, a condition that caused seizures. But during the trip, something amazing happened—Jack was completely healed!
People had believed for a long time that Jack’s cure was a miracle, but it wasn’t officially recognized by the Church until now. His cure is the 71st miracle to be declared at Lourdes and the first one for someone from England.
Recently, doctors looked at Jack’s case again. After reviewing all the evidence, they found proof that his healing couldn’t be explained by medicine. Archbishop Malcolm said that Jack’s faith and his love for Mary, the Blessed Mother, helped bring about this miracle through the power of God.
In February 2025, during a special Jubilee Year, there will be a big celebration to remember Jack’s miracle and inspire everyone to be “Pilgrims of Hope.”
John’s story is a reminder of how faith and hope can bring amazing things into our lives.
