Catholic Social Teaching
Catholic Social Teaching
Catholic Social Teaching is the belief that God has a plan for each of us and for the world—a plan for peace, love, and justice. It’s about how we live our faith every day, not just in prayer or during religious activities, but in how we treat others and care for the world around us. It’s a call to see everyone as our brothers and sisters and to work together for the good of all.
At the heart of Catholic Social Teaching are key principles such as:
- Justice
- Human dignity
- The common good
- Participation
- Solidarity
- Caring for the poor
- Fair sharing of resources
In our school, these principles are shared with the children through the curriculum, special events, activities, and in how we treat one another every day.
What does Catholic Social Teaching look like in our school?
At St.Richard`s , each class is linked with a charity that supports one of the key principles of Catholic Social Teaching. This helps children learn about and support people in need locally, nationally, and globally. Through these partnerships, our learners put their faith into action, showing care for others and making a positive difference in the world
