Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing
The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines mental health as 'a state of wellbeing in which the individual realises his or her abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community'
At St.Richard`s Catholic Primary School, we believe in promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing to ensure that the school is a community where everyone feels able to thrive.
We endeavour to support the wellbeing of pupils, parents and staff alike.
- Universal Support- To meet the needs of all our pupils through our ethos and our wider curriculum.
- Additional Support- For those who may have been made vulnerable by life experiences such as bereavement.
- Targeted Support- For pupils who need more differentiated support and resources or specific targeted intervention.
