`All our Welcome`
No Outsiders – (Promoting Equality and Inclusion)
We use the No Outsiders approach to help children understand and respect the diverse society we live in. This resource supports the teaching of the protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010, including age, disability, gender, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
Through carefully chosen, age-appropriate storybooks, pupils are introduced to important themes such as inclusion, acceptance, and celebrating differences. This method enables children to explore these values in a meaningful and relatable way. The programme follows a clear, whole-school structure, ensuring consistency and progression across all year groups as we build a culture of respect, kindness, and equality for all.
Please note some schools choose to call the No Outsiders scheme "All Are Welcome" to reflect their inclusive ethos in a warm, positive way, while still teaching the values of equality, diversity, and respect as set out in the Equality Act 2010.
