Religious Education
As a Catholic school, at least 10% of our curriculum time (approximately 2½ hours per week, per class) is given to RE from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year Six. We are currently transitioning from using 'Come and See' as a scheme of work, to following the new Religious Education Directory, 'To Know you more clearly,'. In line with guidance from Liverpool Archdiocese, we are gradually implementing 'To know you more clearly,' and have successfully started using this program in Early Years to Year 3

Religious education is at the heart of Catholic schools, helping pupils grow in faith, values, and purpose. It teaches the children about the teachings of Jesus, Church traditions, and how to live with kindness and integrity. This foundation inspires respect, ethical choices, and community spirit, shaping our pupils into compassionate individuals ready to make a positive impact in society.
